Our Story

The story of Agata and Alan began at the American Shrine of our Lady of Czestochowa. It was there at the Shrine that Agata helped start a young adults group, and Alan was one of the attendees to many of the outings and activities that Agata helped to plan. Those first few months gave them the opportunity to get to know each other, where they quickly found out that they had a lot in common – they like nature, camping, hiking, cycling, snowboarding and yes, even flannel shirts.

But more importantly, they realized they also share common values. The most fundamental of these values is their love of family. They both spend a lot of their free time with their families, and look forward to one day passing on traditions new and old to their children.

By coincidence, both of them are their parents’ second child, and both of them have an older brother. They are both very fond of all animals, and especially dogs. They both grew up with dogs in the house, and the hope is to get a dog together once they settle into their new home and life together.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa is a special place for both of them. Alan spent his entire childhood there. He attended Homeschooling activities there and served as an altar boy. Agata came to the sanctuary with her parents from early childhood to participate in many retreats or just for Holy Mass. It turned out that they know and admire the same Pauline Fathers and have had many mutual friends over the years. In fact, it may very well be possible that they passed each other on the grounds multiple times over the years, but missed the opportunity to connect.

Historia Agaty i Alana

Historia Agaty i Alana zaczęła się w Amerykańskiej Częstochowie. Właśnie tam, na terenie Sanktuarium, poznali się i przez wiele miesięcy spotykali się, głównie podczas różnych aktywności grupy Young Adults. Bardzo szybko okazało się, że mają ze sobą wiele wspólnego – lubią naturę, kempingi, chodzenie po szlakach, jazdę na rowerze, snowboard i flanelowe koszule. Ich wspólną wartością jest rodzina, dlatego spędzają w gronie rodziny wiele wartościowego czasu.

Obydwoje w swoich rodzinach urodzili się jako drugie dziecko i każde z nich ma starszego brata. Bardzo lubią zwierzęta i każde z nich wychowało się w rodzinie, w którym były psy. We wspólnym życiu oczywiście planują mieć wspólnego psa.

Sanktuarium w Amerykańskiej Częstochowie jest dla nich obojga szczególnym miejscem. Alan spędził tutaj całe swoje dzieciństwo, uczestnicząc w zajęciach grupy Homeschooling oraz służąc do Mszy jako ministrant.
Agata przyjeżdżała do sanktuarium wraz z rodzicami od wczesnego dzieciństwa, uczestnicząc w wielu Mszach Świętych i rekolekcjach. Okazało się że znają tych samych kapłanów oraz mają trochę wspólnych znajomych. Być może nieraz przechodzili obok siebie, ale nigdy wcześniej nie zwrócili na siebie uwagi.

The Story of the Ring

Agata’s engagement ring is of especially sentimental value to them due to its history. It was originally the engagement ring of Alan’s mom, Linda. When she heard of the impending engagement, it was her idea and hope that the ring could be passed down to future generations. Agata and Alan loved the idea of a family heirloom, and happily accepted. Alan’s parents have been blessed with a happy marriage for over 35 years and counting, and the hope is that along with the ring, they can pass on an example of their happiness and success to the Happy Couple. The ring is beautiful and exactly the style Agata would have picked out herself. She will wear it proudly.

Historia Pierścionka

Pierścionek zaręczynowy jest szczególnie wartościowy ze względu na jego historię. Jeszcze niedawno właścicielką pierścionka była Linda, mama Alana. Ponieważ Alan i Agata bardzo cenią wartości rodzinne, dlatego z wielką radością obydwoje przyjęli propozycję mamy Alana, o przekazaniu swojego pierścionka następnemu pokoleniu. Agata bardzo chętnie zgodziła się, aby na jej palcu pojawił się ten szczególny pierścionek, który ma za sobą już piękną historię. Rodzice Alana są w szczęśliwym małżeństwie ponad 35 lat.
